FAQ — Furries Asking Questions

Tickets & Merchandise

Why are some Shirt Sizes only available in Black?

Due to product availability within the industry, ice blue Aurawra shirts are unavailable in sizes 2XS, 6/7XL, 8/9XL, 10/11XL, and 12/13XL. If you require these sizes, they will be printed on black.

Note that the pre-order deadline for wearable merchandise is May 31st, 2025. This is to ensure ample time to manufacture and fulfil all pre-orders, along with limited table stock prior to the convention.

Will there be day passes sold?

At this stage we cannot confirm whether there will be or not; however, as an abundance of caution, we recommend you don’t rely on this being your opportunity to take part in the convention.

Can I buy a ticket for my friends

Yes. As stated in our Terms of Service, you can buy up to four Standard (Employee) Tier registrations. For Sponsor and Benefactor Tier registrations, you can only purchase one for yourself.

I didn’t manage to get a ticket! How does the waitlist work?

We will be doing something similar to what we have done in previous years. We won’t have a waitlist, but we will collect emails to notify you when the next batch of tickets will be released. This will be after the refund period has ended, and any tickets sold will be unable to be refunded.

Does pre-filling my details guarantee me a ticket?

No — you will still need to be present on our registration website at the time of release.

Pre-filling ensures you are able to correctly fill in your details, select any options or modifications that you desire, have ample time to review our terms and conditions, and pre-fill in your payment information so you don’t get caught waiting for codes or have any issues.

Do I need to pre-fill for every tier to make sure I have a chance if I miss out?

No you do not, if you are unsuccessful in securing a ticket once that tier has sold out you can click the “Switch Booking Type” button and change your booking type between any of the three levels of rego. This means you don’t need to retype all of your information.

Note this process only works when downgrading your registration, if you wish to pre-fill for a higher tier after you have pre-filled for a lower tier you’ll have to do the entire registration process for that tier.

If you have already selected to pre-fill your bank details, the correct amount will update with your bank once your registration is successful, or refund if you are not successful in obtaining a registration.

I prefilled my details but didn’t get a ticket. Do I need to go through the registration process again?

While your ticket form will remain pre-filled on our website, you will still need to re-enter your payment details and be present when the tickets are released to submit.

How do I give my ticket to someone else? (Can I?)

Yes! Ticket transfers can be performed up to 60 days before the convention date. If you wish to transfer your ticket, just reach out to us at [email protected].

Any issues regarding payment are up to the involved parties to organise, and we recommend this is organised before the ticket transfer occurs.

How do I get a refund on my ticket?

We hope you can make it to this year’s convention, but if something comes up and you wish to refund your ticket, just send an email to [email protected] and we can help organise this for you.

Please note a refund will incur a fee of 7% of the ticket price.

I’ll need someone to assist me at the convention; how do I register with them?

Upon registration, please make sure to tick the box that indicates you require a carer — we will reach out in private to organise this with you via email.

I’m under 18 — can I attend?

No, you cannot — it is a requirement of registration that all attendees be over the age of 18. If you are presently 17 and will be 18 by the convention start date, you are certainly allowed to attend the convention though.

Can I share my registration / badge with other people?

No. Each attendee must have their own registration/badge. Sharing your badge is a breach of the convention rules — should you be caught doing this, the registration will be revoked without, refund and participating parties may be given a ban from all future events.

What ID do I need to pick up my rego at the con?

You will need to provide a nationally or internationally recognised form of photo ID, such as a driver’s licence, proof of age card, or passport, when you collect your registration badge.

Hotel

Is there parking at the hotel?

Parking is subject to availability and is not included with room pricing. The cost is $40 per day if you have a room booked with the hotel.

Can we guarantee all three lifts will work all the time?

While we hope the answer is yes, lift availability is the onus of the hotel, and we cannot discount the fact that unexpected issues might occur in the lead-up to or during the event.

Do I need to stay at the Con hotel?

Of course not! Many people prefer to stay at the con hotel to be close to the event and to — but be mindful of your safety if departing the hotel late at night.

If I don’t choose to get parking with my room, where can I park?

There are various car parks around Parramatta available to park at — however keep in mind parking at these ones is subject to availability (especially on Friday). See our transport page for more info!

Can I choose my room, or give neighbour preferences?

Just make a note of this preference in your reservation/special requests when booking a room. Keep in mind that this is not a guarantee, only a request.

If you have any sort of special requirements as a result of some sort of disability or mobility issue, we recommend you make this known via this request box and follow up with a call to the hotel closer to the date to ensure your needs are met.

Does the hotel require a deposit?

PARKROYAL rooms must be paid in full 30 days prior to the dates booked. The designated card provided on booking will be charged. If the charge fails and you don’t get in contact with the hotel, the room will be forfeit.

In addition, as laid out in the hotel terms and conditions, there will be a $200 holding fee for incidentals.

I can’t come anymore – how do I cancel my room?

If you booked to stay at PARKROYAL, please contact them to arrange a cancellation.

If at a different hotel, please refer to their website or booking terms for information regarding their cancellation process.

At the Convention

How do I know what’s currently happening?

Keep an eye on our socials, especially the Telegram Channel. Also, take a look at the schedule (when it is released)!

Can I BYO alcohol to the event?

You can enjoy your own drinks in the privacy of your own room; however, in the convention and hotel spaces, please do not consume alcohol unless purchased at the hotel bar. Do not bring your own drinks to the hotel bar.

What’s the dress code for the event?

Street-appropriate clothing is to be worn while in the con-space at Aurawra. We love seeing fursuits, pup hoods, and all forms of eclectic dress, but we must also be respectful of the general public that work at the hotel to make Aurawra happen!

How do I donate something to the charity auction?

Feel free to drop by the charity booth at the Dealers’ Den — more info about the charity will be released soon!

I want to take photos — how should I go about it?

As a general rule, please ensure to ask the subject before you do — the majority of fursuiters would be excited to pose for you if asked! If perchance someone decides afterwards that you delete a photo of them, we ask that you follow their wishes.

Where can I leave my fursuit if I’m not wearing it?

If you are not wearing your fursuit (or costume), please leave it in a safe and secure place like your hotel room and not at Con-Ops or in the Headless Lounge. While we will try our best to return your property to you, we do not accept responsibility for your property (fursuit or otherwise) if lost or left in the con space.

What happens if I break the rules?

Consequences for breaking convention rules will vary depending on the severity of the offence, ranging from a stern talking-to to a complete ban from Aurawra attendance. For more details, see our Rules & Conditions.

Can I organise my own meet-up at Aurawra?

Yes! You can host an event of your own, and it doesn’t need to be a traditional panel. You can use our forms to organise an event or activity of your own.

If you have an idea for a larger event that may require collaboration, feel free to reach out to the team directly to see what can be organised.
