This year Aurawra has a new location - Parramatta! The bustling second CBD of Sydney, offering heaaaaps of food to eat and shops to visit. Gone are the days of choosing between 5 restaurants in the middle of Olympic park - Parramatta has countless restaurants the area, many of them right on PARKROYAL’s doorstep!

Parramatta has so many food options, it would be near impossible to fit them all on a map! We have chosen a few of the closest and best places to eat for our map, but it’s far from all!

Church Street

Key Locations

Food @ Church Street
Church Street is Parramatta's ‘high street’, with many restaurants, cafes and businesses. It has recently been redeveloped into a beautiful pedestrianised street, soon to have a tram! We do recommend taking a stroll down it if you’re ever in search for some food or shops. Located right next to PARKROYAL, you’ll definitely be seeing this street a lot while you’re here!

Food @ Parramatta Square
Directly outside the train station, this is a great spot to meet and hang out while you’re waiting for friends. The area also has a bunch of nice cafes and dessert places!

Food and Shopping @ Parramatta Westfield
Parramatta Westfield is on the other side of the train station, just follow Crown Street under the railway, or walk through the station concourse from Parramatta Square to get to get there. The shopping centre has multiple food courts, with all the food chains you’d expect! Being one of the largest shopping centres in the country, it is sure to have any shop you may need - but here are a few of the notable ones you may need while at Aurawra:

Parramatta Square

  • Woolworths

    • Full Size: Level 5 (easiest to get to via Crown Street entrance)

    • Metro: In the Parramatta Station concourse, Westfield side

  • Aldi - Level 5, opposite end from Crown Street

  • Coles - Level 5, next to Aldi

  • JB HiFi - At the end of Level 5 food court

  • Asian Supermarket - Tongli Supermarket, next to Coles and Aldi

  • Parramatta Park - a large park to the Northwest of Parramatta, and a short walk from the hotel. Features heritage buildings and lots of shade!

  • Parramatta River Walk - starting right by the hotel, the river walk is a loop along each side of the river - you can go as long as you want, with many crossings along the length.
